Christmas Activities
This last week has been fun preparing for Christmas. We have started some of our baking and made some peanut clusters and chocolate covered pretzels. I think that we will start in on to the cookies this week. Last Friday Ashlynn had her Kindergarten Christmas party and then the school wide assembly. They are kind enough to let the siblings join in and so Lorelai got to get in on some of the fun also. I love her class and teacher, it is so much fun and I am really thankful for that .
All of the different grades had lines in the 12 days of Christmas song and the Kindergarten classes had the 12th day of Christmas, it was great.
Some of the snacks were cupcakes that had bright red or green frosting, it was quite amusing to watch some of them eat them. Some had frosting in their hair and on their clothes by the end.
They did a gift exchange and wrapped up a book and her they are opening up their presents from one another. Ashlynn got a new cat book that she is excited about.
These are two of the girls that Ashlynn sits with at class, her good friend Hadley and Sienna. I am very thankful that this move and transition has been very easy for our girls. It just seems that they have adjusted very well. Ashlynn has been so great at making new friends and connecting with so many, I am really proud of her. (Caution a little parent bragging right here :) When we got her report card a couple of weeks ago we were glad that she is doing well but we appreciated the comments that her teacher made most. "Ashlynn is a strong Kindergarten student in Math, Literacy and behavior. She is a delightful little girl who is excited about life and learning." It is amazing and fun to watch her develop and blossom as she gets older which seems to be going way to fast!
