Moving Right Along

( Sorry about the weird face that I am making - it was the only picture we had of all of us in front of our new place.)

Well we have made the jump and we moved over to Sisters Oregon this last weekend. This is my first attempt to start posting on my blog again. Now that we have moved it has given me new motivation to stay connected with all of you at home. I am so looking forward to our new life, but also am very sad all the family and wonderful friends that we had to leave. It will definitely be a big adjustment and I am finding out once again that big life change is hard, but God is good and I am sure he will amaze us with what he has in store for our family.
We had some great help from our family and friends to help us get sent off well. It has been a great first week and I think that all of us are adjusting pretty well. We got Ashlynn all set up for school and she will start next Tuesday. She is really looking forward to it! We live really close to the elementary school so we will be able to walk her over there every afternoon. It does feel weird to be here but we have met a lot of really kind people. Our neighborhood is great, it is a mix of retired folks and families. One of neighbors came over and introduced herself and brought us some muffins. Then we had a Neighborhood BBQ at the park and were able to meet some more people there. It is kind of weird getting use to the small town feel. We went to the library one morning because they were having a special reading time for incoming Kindergardeners and there was 3 kids - including one of mine, kind of hard to get use to. We do like the beauty and quietness of it over here, waking up to the sunshine each morning is a wonderful and energetic thing. Hopefully more coming soon ...

So Ashlynn is in the pm class. I'm sure she will love it, she makes friends so easily.
